It hardly seems possible that it was more than a year ago that we began looking for a new home. I regret that it has taken me so long to write this letter, but there have been a few "detours" in our life since then. Despite the passage of time, we feel that it is important for you to know the impact that one of the realtors in your office made on our lives.

We have moved several times during our thirty-eight years of marriage -- four times in the last ten years. In the early years some places were rented, some were owned by the churches for whom my husband worked, and in later years we have owned our own. We have encountered many real estate agents. After moving to Langley we met Paul and Bernice Goddard, now of Realty World - Wolstencroft. Never before had we experienced the kind of professionalism and integrity they possess... until we met Ken Ambrose. Paul and Bernice helped us through two moves and then when we decided to move again within Maple Ridge, they suggested that it would be in our best interests to work through a local realtor and they recommended Ken.

We found that Ken Ambrose, like the Goddards, possesses a very rare quality. He does not just sell houses for a living... he truly understands what the right home can mean to a family, and he goes far beyond the normal parameters in the search for the right one. He listened to us with his heart and took the time to get to know us, our lifestyle and financial limitations. He was available to us day and night, not only answering our many questions about homes and neighborhoods, but personally researching the information even if it meant traveling somewhere to get it. He drew our attention to features that he knew we should be aware of, even when it meant that there would be no sale that day. And when we finally found the house that made our hearts skip a beat, be personally helped us check out every single feature, standing by as the septic field inspection was done, finding out the crime rate for the street, laying on his stomach in front of the fridge to write down its serial number, etc. He spent hours with us! And when it came to selling the home we were in I can't believe how thoroughly he threw himself into the task. In addition to the listing appearing in the real estate book, it was regularly in the newspaper, on television, on the internet, with the "talking house" feature in place and signs placed strategically in the neighborhood. He always arrived prior to a viewing, and even took over the cleaning of a mirror for me one day when I was pushed for time.

We discovered why the Goddards referred us to Ken, and we wanted you to know that we found him to be one of the most professional, ethical, honest, sensitive, friendly, hardworking and likable Realtors we have ever met, with a gentle sense of humor as a bonus! And on top of all that, he found us the perfect home and promptly sold our old one! What more could anyone ask? We hope his talents are appreciated in your office as much as they are by his clients!
